These pieces cover advertising retouching, manual cleanup, historical restoration, and careful photo reconstruction. They matter because they show not only software skill, but the ability to judge what should be preserved, corrected, rebuilt, or left untouched.
Retouch, restoration, reconstruction and visual judgment
From advertising-grade cleanup to historical restoration, this is where detail, consistency, and image decision-making show up most clearly.
That judgment is still relevant in an AI-heavy workflow. Fast tools help, but image quality still depends on someone who can see where the image is failing and how to bring it back to a convincing finish.
Before / After Editing Cases

Model Reflection
Cutout, skin retouching, photo montage, and refined color adjustments.

Kids & Ice Cream
Restoration for the movie / biography of Pepe Faro, a major baker in Brazil and founder of Perini and later Almacén Pepe.

Sister Dulce and Sister Hilaria at Santo Antonio School
Restoration and colorization, completed before the AI era, for Sister Dulce's major two-volume biography by journalist Valber Carvalho. Cover and book editing also by me.

Father & Son
Another restoration for Pepe Faro's biography. Skin texture had to be reconstructed from heavily bleached areas on the son's face and lips.

Valentine Campaign
Cutout, skin retouch, 3D gift insertion, and advertising campaign finishing.

It's Carnaval!
Cutout, retouch, and photo montage for a major beer brand's Brazilian Carnaval campaign, with an intentionally strong yellow accent.

Manual Cleanup Process
Detailed retouching, cleanup of unwanted elements, and tree/sky reconstruction completed manually before AI-assisted tools were available.

Autumn Grade
Done before I even had a pen tablet, this piece was built with a mouse in Photoshop, recreating the flowing hair in the opposite direction strand by strand. It took hours, done on-site at a major ad agency, with people stopping around me just to watch the process.
